Case Studies - Software Training
Customer Profile
A Fortune 500 health care corporation specializing in medical
devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
Business Situation
A new component of the corporation’s enterprise resource
planning (ERP) system was being implemented. Technical consultants
were in place but no training or documentation had been created.
The corporation sought assistance from Envision Group Consulting
to create role-based user manuals and training programs to identify
how each worker’s day-to-day activities changed and create
tools that supported the adoption of that procedural change—not
just a generic guide on how to use the software.
Solution
Envision created five role-specific
user guides which provided work flows and process descriptions
for how the various system user’s day-to-day activities.
This included the design and development of memory jogger
decision support trees, process aids and performance support
tools.
Envision provided Train-the-Trainer sessions for the technical
teams so hands-on training could cascade throughout work
streams. EGC developed all of the role specific and software
training
materials, including hands-on skill practice in the system
utilizing a sandbox environment. In addition, EGC also played
critical roles in the change management and project communication
activities. |
