Client Technical Support Consultant
We are looking for an energetic, mature student or experienced
professional who has a moderate level of technical understanding
to provide professional, attentive client support to one of our
major customers.
The candidate will work within our client's LMS system to enter
system related data, provide phone troubleshooting support to client
users during normal business hours (candidate will be provided
with a phone), provide system training to users via webinars, generate
and submit reports on user activity and interface with the system
vendor to resolve any help tickets or other system issues for the
client.
The position will require someone skilled in the use of Microsoft
Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to create procedure
documents, update existing documents and regularly review existing
processes to determine improvement strategies.
Successful candidates will be those who can calmly and logically
troubleshoot situations and work with client users to resolve
situations in a professional manner.
This is a freelance position. The position requires flexibility of hours on a weekly basis,
ranging between 15-30 hours per week, with most weeks in
the 20-30 hour
range. The candidate must be committed to meeting project
deadlines, being responsive to customer requests and must
be available
for occasional evening or weekend work.
The candidate must be able to work on a virtual basis from
home approximately 95% of the time but may on occasion
be required to go to the client's location or Envision
Group
meetings.
The
consultant
must have their own computer with software and a good,
reliable internet connection. We prefer a Windows-based
computer or
a Mac that can run Windows apps (partitioned).
Professional Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
- Word - Must be able to create multipage documents and
set up headers and footers, proof read, add images, wrap
text,
add graphics,
set
up tables, fix layout issues and insert screen captures
and graphic items.
- Power Point - Must have basic skills to create presentations.
- Excel - Must have the ability to use basic formulas,
set up tables, and format shading and borders.
- Familiarity with the concept of hosted applications
available via the Web (Software
as a service, SaaS)
- Familiarity with the concepts of application testing (production
environments vs. test environments)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills in
English.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a professional
demeanor.
- Ability to work with a virtual team from home and to connect
and host Web meetings using common
tools like GoToMeeting.
