Instructional Design Consultant
Envision Group Consulting is a privately held, aggressively growing
consulting company specializing in learning solutions and performance
consulting. Our current client base is heavily comprised of Fortune
500 companies within the Chicagoland area. We are looking for top
performing training and performance consultants to join our team
and support our growing client base.

Design consultants need to be self-starters, as there will be no
micro-managers here.

Listed below are some of the core responsibilities for this critical
role within our firm. Our Instructional Design consultants are
seen as vital team members, and will be supported by a strong team
who will ensure they have whatever is necessary to be able to deliver
great results to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop and update course curriculum and materials
using instructional design methodologies while meeting both time
deadlines and budget requirements. Course development responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, creating learning objectives
and developing corresponding test items; writing course content;
and creating, selecting and incorporating print or web graphics
into courses as appropriate.
- Utilize creative skills to develop ILT, online, self-directed
or alternative approaches to designing curriculums and programs
which facilitate effective learning.
- Collaborate with client managers and subject-matter-experts
to develop curriculum requirements and program designs that support
organizational needs and objectives.
- Manage the program development and regularly communicate program
status.
- Apply analytical skills to evaluate, report and continuously
improve the effectiveness of developed training programs.
- Conduct front-end analysis, content analysis and lead the
course design process, or participate on a development team.
- Refine, document and maintain instructional design strategies
and standards utilized by Envision Group Consulting learning
services consultants.
- Organize learning analytics data, maintain and develop reports
for the assessment of learner feedback, trends and opportunities
for additional client programs or revisions to existing programs.
Professional Requirements
- Knowledge of evaluation methods, needs analysis and adult
learning theory.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills are required only for facilitation
related projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Knowledge of Snag-it, Lectora, Authorware, Flash, Articulate
and Photoshop helpful.
- Four or more years as an Instructional Designer, with consulting
or project based work experience.
- Bachelors degree in education, instructional design, instructional
technology related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong creative thinker who possesses excellent communication,
brainstorming and problem solving skills.
Ability to motivate others and build consensus within a team,
but willing to secure action and closure when necessary to achieve
results and meet deadlines.

(ASTD), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI),
the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals (ISSSP), and

to be members of appropriate professional organizations to support
their professional growth and development.
Instructional Designers and performance consultants who exhibit
exceptional skills and client management abilities may be offered
